Revived Fisker Karma Teased by New Chinese Owners
Here's hoping Wanxiang can bring more than a promotional image to life. Remember Wanxiang, the Chinese company that bought Fisker?

Well if you don’t, you’re about to get well-acquainted with the Chinese giant as it just debuted a teaser image of the revived Karma. The image is from above and doesn’t reveal much, but “Introducing April 2015” is hard to misinterpret. If the new Karma does debut this month it’ll be known as the “Elux Karma" as Wanxiang is moving away from the failed Fisker name. Here's hoping a name change makes people forget bankruptcy and occasional fires.

A re-launch of the Karma is nice, but Wanxiang also said it plans on bringing the two Fisker concepts, the Surf wagon and Atlantic sport sedan, to life. While reviving a dead brand and launching three cars sounds almost impossible, the company behind Fisker’s revival has deep pockets. It is the largest auto parts supplier in China and its head, Lu Guanqiu, is worth $3.1 billion. Guanqiu is dedicated to the relaunch and is on record saying he’ll “burn as much cash as it takes to succeed, or until Wanxiang goes bust.” Here's hoping that cash is the only thing that burns this time. Oh, and a few production Surf wagons would also be nice.
