Royal Enfield 650 cc motorcycles spotted at the brand’s UK tech centre
The Royal Enfield 650 cc motorcycles have been spotted at the company’s tech centre in UK, ahead of their official reveal at the 2014 EICMA show.

One of the Royal Enfield 650 cc motorcycle is draped in white, and follows a retro modern design approach. The bike sports easy-to-reach handlebars and a bench seat. The design and ergonomics are reminiscent of the Triumph Bonneville T100. The motorcycle was first spotted testing in August; and would be ideal for touring. The ABS ring is also visible in the disc brake.

The other Royal Enfield 650 motorcycle gets a cafe racer design, complete with clip on handlebars, alloy wheels, and a rear seat cowl. Powering the two bikes is an all-new 648cc parallel twin engine with air and oil cooling. The SOHC powerplant puts out 47 PS at 7,100 rpm and 52 Nm at 4,000 rpm. It mates with an all-new 6-speed transmission with slipper clutch. Royal Enfield says the mill is powerful enough to allow cruising at the speeds of 120 – 135 kmph. The mill features a 270-degree crank with balancer shaft to quell vibrations.

The company says the chassis is also an all-new unit. It looks similar to the one in the Continental GT. Royal Enfield will officially unveil the pre-production versions of the motorcycle at the 2017 EICMA show today. The brand will reveal more details of the bike at the show.
