The Royal Enfield Himalayan Euro4 will be launched in France in January 2018, says a report from motoservices.com.

As per the media site's sources, the bike will enter the French market in January 2018 and will be priced competitively. At present, Royal Enfield sells the Bullet Standard 500, Classic 500 range (including Chrome and matte colour variants) and Continental GT in the country. It also retails the limited edition Classic 500 Redditch series. Prices start from 5,120 Euros for the Bullet. All the motorcycles comply with Euro4 emission norms and come with ABS brakes. According to the site, the upcoming Royal Enfield 750cc motorcycle will not enter their shores before 2019.

The BS4 Himalayan was launched in India this month. It uses the same 411 cc single cylinder SOHC unit with oil-cooler, but comes with fuel injection. The engine makes 24.5 bhp of peak power at 6,500 rpm and 32 Nm of maximum torque at 4,250 rpm. A 5-speed transmission works in tandem with the engine.

Suspension bits include 41 mm telescopic forks at the front and monoshock with linkage at the rear. The front suspension offers 200 mm of travel while the rear offers 180 mm. The motorcycle employs 21 inch front and 17 inch rear spoke wheels. Brakes include a 300 mm front and a 240 mm rear disc.
