Special Luxury Sports Yacht With Unique Customizations Sells in Record Time
The gorgeous Chorusline is unique among all Pershing yachts and extra special due to the unusual in-build customizations requested by its original owner. It's easy to see why it didn't have to wait too long for a new owner, especially since it was also kept in excellent shape and recently refreshed in 2023.

Italian yacht builder Pershing is globally recognized as one of the leaders in the super-fast, luxury sports yacht sector. Pershing yachts stay under 50 meters (164 feet) for high-speed cruising that doesn't lack any of the extravagant facilities of superyachts.

Chorusline is a 38-knot (43.7 mph) beast fitted with four MTU 16 V 2000 M96L 2600 HP engines. The hydro-jet propulsion allows it to hit 35 knots in less than one minute. At an economical 10-knot speed, it can cover 1,400 nautical miles, but this aggressive boat was clearly not made for lazy, extensive trips. Its performance is matched by a stunning sporty silhouette envisioned by the one and only Fulvio De Simoni.

This agile 142-footer (43.4 meters) showcases the Pershing DNA with a coupe car-inspired steel grid on the bow and is also a trailblazer, marking several innovations for the high-end Italian builder. When it was launched in 2019, Chorusline was more than the first unit in the Pershing 140 series. It was the brand's first yacht made entirely of aluminum; it was also the first to have a raised helm station connected to the sundeck, a lavish beach club that opened on three sides, and an untraditional placement of the master suite on the main deck.

Customization made it even more unique. The owner had an unusual request to turn the owner's suite into an extensive, spectacular entertainment area. Therefore, instead of a master cabin, Chorusline boasts a huge socializing and entertainment space with a cinema, a bar, and a dining room in addition to the traditional main salon with a TV and ample seating.

At the same time, this opulent yacht can accommodate a large number of guests (up to ten) and a large crew, and it features some of the most spectacular exterior amenities in its size category. It's hard to say which is more impressive: the oversized sundeck with a jacuzzi, sun pads, and al-fresco dining or the innovative beach club with fold-down bulwarks that turn it into a huge lounge directly on the water.

As a result of its unusual customization, this five-year-old- sports yacht has never been slept in. At more than $20 million, this is one of the most expensive and extravagant dayboats ever, but that's what its original owner preferred. It wasn't used extensively either, which is why it came with under 700 hours on the main engines despite its age.

As an extra perk, this sporty beauty is ideally suited for locations such as Asia and the UAE due to its shallow draft and upgraded air-conditioning system. A yacht like this can easily access shallow waters and remote locations while easily withstanding the weather challenges of warmer climates. Last but not least, this striking sports yacht was fully repainted last year.

At the timme of the sale, Chorusline was sitting in Hong Kong and asking for $21.5 million – a price not too big to pay, judging by the record time of the sale: Chorusline joined the market in March and changed hands this month. Someone was willing to pay superyacht money for a smaller, sleeker pleasure craft that has been barely used despite its stunning capabilities. This might even be better than a superyacht for those who want greater freedom in terms of cruising destinations.

The new lucky owner will be able to revert this unique Pershing to a more traditional configuration if they want to, as the yacht kept its initial infrastructure and plumbing intact. This spectacular sports yacht certainly deserves to be enjoyed as more than an oversized, overpriced dayboat and operated to its full potential.
