Some things will have to change, but most people, possibly even some customers, won't necessarily know that anything happened. So when we heard that Spyker, the Dutch makers of charmingly weird sports cars, had filed for bankruptcy, we were concerned but we knew that it wasn't necessarily the end.
It turns out that Spyker CEO Victor Muller would really like you to know that, issuing a press release containing the words '"this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning" to quote Winston Churchill. Of course, Churchill was talking about victory over the Nazis in Egypt when he said those words, Muller has just run out of money. But even if he is a tad bit over dramatic, Spyker has plans to merge with an American electric airplane manufacturer as a means of raising the cash needed to resume operations, and we wish it luck in that endeavor.
