Theft of Speed Camera: Three Arrests

Police arrested three suspects Tuesday, March 18 as part of the investigation into the theft of a "speed camera" Bonne Mere, Flacq. Robbery Sunday, March 10.
Wednesday, March 13, a man named Ravi, after the town of Verdun, was cased. During his interrogation, he confessed to being the author of the theft. He explained that in the early hours of Sunday, March 10, it was flashed for speeding. Mad, he went home, is equipped with a grinder and returned to the site. Once on the road to Good Mother, he cut off the radar tower.
Then he headed for Dagotière where he threw in a dike. On Wednesday morning, the young man told investigators exactly where he got rid of the speed camera. Divers of the National Coast Guard were able to recover the object in the dike.
A fifth suspect has surrendered to police Wednesday, March 19 with his lawyer, Robin Appaya. Two of five suspects arrested in the case have confessed. They allege that their accomplices, including a teenager, have helped cut the pylon supporting the Speed Camera using a "chopper." The other three suspects are pushing the allegations against them.
