This Lambo Was Abandoned During a Flood, Everyone Thought the Wheels Got Stolen
Dubai has turned into a nightmare for insurance companies who now have to pay gazillion of dollars to cover for the damages done by floods all over the city. Supercars and luxury models are a heartbreak to watch. And so is this Lamborghini abandoned in the water.

Massive rainfall caused floods in a city that doesn't actually know how to deal with such situations. However, people have found ways to save their assets.

Someone filmed this bright yellow Lamborghini Aventador sitting in the water in a flooded area of Dubai. The car has got no wheels anymore, so everyone watching the video assumed they were stolen.

But hey, this is Dubai. Almost everyone and their dog drives some expensive car. Besides, the police fleet in the United Arab Emirates has the most exciting vehicles, which are lightning-fast and capable of chasing perpetrators at very high speed.

Of course, they are pretty much useless in the water. But surely the Coast Guard can think of something in such circumstances. No, let's get serious, shall we?

However, the stealing might not be the real scenario with this car in the spotlight. And the first hint is the huge tire shop next to which the Lamborghini is sitting.

Furthermore, the supercar is lifted on jacks. It's not like thieves would actually care enough to leave the car like that to protect it from the flood.

People who saw the footage on social media rushed into the comments section to tell their side of the story: the owner tried to save the car from flood.

They must have removed the wheels, stored them away into the tire shop that shows up in the video, and let the car lifted like that, hoping that the water would not get to it. And apparently, it worked. The video shows the car "floating" above the water.

There were, though, so many drivers who were not that lucky, nor that inspired. Thousands of cars were destroyed by the floods that hit the city.

Footage from Dubai also showed drivers braving the waters. One of them, driving a Porsche Taycan, went through the flood without breaking a sweat.

The Porsche drives at slow speed, and, at one point, it seems to lose contact with the tarmac and starts to float. It eventually reaches the road again, and drives off as if nothing ever happened.

There was also a super courageous Pagani Utopia driver. Why do we label them as "super courageous?" Let us fill you in. That is a $2.5 million car. And it takes the body of still water like a champ. Of course, the driver has insurance. But that is still brave, no matter how you look at it.
