The second TRD Sportive edition of the current generation Fortuner differs from the earlier model due to new styling tweaks and colour schemes.
The new Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo 2 differs from the old model with a few styling tweaks and changes to the colour-coding. At the front it has new fog lamps and a matte-finish skirt. On the sides, the TRD-branded 20-inch alloy wheels come in a dual-tone finish instead of all-black finish. At the rear, the bumper has individual brushed metal inserts on each side, something customers going for an aftermarket dual exhaust system would appreciate.
Two exterior colour schemes are available to select from, namely Pearl White with Pearl Crystal Black roof and Attitude Black Mica.
Key comfort and convenience features of the new Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo 2 include 8-way adjustable leather seats, 7-inch T-Connect infotainment system with navigation, engine start-stop button (in red colour and with TRD branding), rear-view camera and a power tailgate.
The new Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo 2 measures 4,795 mm in length, 1,855 mm in width and 1,835 mm in height. It has a ground clearance of 193 mm. These dimensions are the same as that of the standard variant. However, it benefits from TRD Sportivo shock absorbers.
Under the hood, the Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo has the 1GD-FTV (High) 2.8-litre diesel engine, which is married to a 6-speed automatic transmission. This turbocharged four-cylinder engine develops 177 PS at 3,400 rpm and 450 Nm of torque at 1,600-2,400 rpm. A four-wheel drive system is optional.
