Toyota continues its trend of bringing highly-modified trucks and SUVS to SEMA this year, but in an extraordinarily special way.

The headline out of the six vehicles is the 2,000-horsepower Land Cruiser Speed Cruiser. The twin-turbocharged beast is capable of hitting 350 km per hour – sorry Bentley, but this is faster than the Bentayga – and leads the way for five other outrageous machines.

The Land Speed Cruiser, for the most part, looks like a stock Land Cruiser. The SUV even uses the stock 5.7-liter V8 albeit with "volleyball-sized Garrett turbochargers" on both sides of the engine. It's also lower, has beefier tires, and a host of aerodynamic touches to keep it planted on the ground at high speeds.

Toyota also revealed its Tacoma TRD Pro Race Truck that will compete in the 2017 Mint 400 race at SEMA. The pickup truck features a 3.5-liter Atkinson-cycle V6 that sends power to all four wheels. To handle the race's tough terrain, the truck was fitted with 2.5-inch coilovers from Fox and has Multi-Terrain select, as well as Crawl Control.

The four other modified vehicles include: the Prius G Extreme that's capable of pulling 0.99 Gs in the corners, a radically-designed, two-door XTREME Corolla, the Toyota Motorsport GmbH GT86 CS-Cup that will be the star in a one-make racing series overseas, and the wide-body Extreme Sienna with performance parts and a luxurious interior. Clearly, Toyota knows how to do SEMA.
