Triumph Launches Seven Modern Classic Motorcycles for One Year Only
Is this what it means when they say, "Style never goes out of fashion"?

Triumph is one of the most iconic motorcycle brands that's ever graced us.

So many motorcycle icons, from Evel Knievel to Steve McQueen, have thrown their legs over Triumphs and endorsed the brand as one of the best motorcycle manufacturers. So, when you've reached an iconic status like Triumph has, how do you celebrate it?

Well, a limited-edition run of motorcycles that revolve around your most iconic logo seems like a good way to go about it.

For one year only, Triumph will have a lineup of models known as the Modern Classic Icon Edition, which will consist of seven models. There are plenty of stylistic features that set these bikes apart, but the Icon lineup all revolves around one common theme—a timeless heritage logo. Since Triumph was established in 1902, the brand has gone through 10 iterations of its logo but one stands head and shoulders above the rest.

This logo was introduced in 1907 but hasn't been featured on an official Triumph tank for more than 100 years. But the reason it'll look so familiar to more than a few of you is that it's probably the logo favored by most custom motorcycle makers that work with Triumph models.

Along with the heritage logo, each motorcycle will feature a Sapphire Black and Aluminum Silver color combination, which echos the style of the era they represent. They'll also have hand-painted coach-lining and exclusive graphics showcasing the Edwardian gold script logo.

Triumph Motorcycles' Chief Commercial Officer, Paul Stroud, said: "The Triumph Modern Classics have an enduring reputation for original style, high quality, premium finish and modern performance. It is this authenticity, coupled with the heritage and passion encapsulated in the 1907 logo, that will have broad appeal with both younger and older riders. With striking new paint schemes, bespoke graphics, and custom logos, the Icon Editions perfectly blend heritage, style, and contemporary capability, perfect for those riders who appreciate classic style, but value modern performance."

Of course, not every Triumph is a modern icon. My Street Triple 765, for example, isn't something I'd like to see turned into a modern icon because it simply isn't. But the folks at Triumph have clearly thought about this, and every bike included in the Modern Classic Icon Edition fits the bill perfectly.

The lineup will consist of the following models: Bonneville T100 Icon Edition, Bonneville T120 Icon Edition, Scrambler 900 Icon Edition, Scrambler 1200 X Icon Edition, Scrambler 1200 XE Icon Edition, Bonneville Bobber Icon Edition, and the Bonneville Speedmaster Icon Edition.

If you were thinking of getting the standard version of any of the models mentioned above, maybe you should hold out until these units become available in December 2024. The Modern Classic Icon Editions will feature the Triumph script logo in gold and exclusive Icon Edition model graphics on the tanks and side panels.

Prices are unknown at the time of writing, but you can expect to tack on more than a few quid to the MRSP of the standard models since these bikes will only have a limited run for 2025. Let us know if you think Triumph picked the best of its 10 logos to build this limited-edition lineup around in the comments.
