What will be new in Mini’s for this year?

Mini keeps on the list of new car for 2011

Mini Cooper Slight engine changes are for Mini in this year. The Cooper S gets Valvetronic variable timing, which bumps output to 181 horsepower at 5,500 rpm, while torque remains static at 177 pound-feet. The base 1.6-liter Cooper does not get Valvetronic, but small changes to the motor bump output to 122 hp for this year.

All Minis get a tuning for interior for 2011. The audio controls have been consolidated and moved to a more usual place on the center console, as the air-conditioning controls have been changed for improved ergonomics. On the exterior, there are new tidy rings for the side marker lights, adaptive xenon headlights or optional black headlight reflectors. The bumpers have been refreshed for enhanced pedestrian crash protection. New wheel designs and paint colours — including Chili Red accents for the John Cooper Works — are also available.
There are three new colours available "Design Worlds" obtainable: Rally, Classic and Scene. Each option is carefully pieced together with matching colours, wheels, options and trims. Consider this prix fix instead of à la carte.

Mini Cooper Clubman Just similar to the standard Cooper coupe, the barn-door equipped Clubman gets the more powerful motor, slight visual changes, revised ergonomics, new paint, wheels and Design Worlds.

Mini Cooper Countryman The one thing that's all new for Mini is the 2011 Mini Countryman. If the Clubman was considered big for the Mini brand, it’s uncertain if the Mini Countryman crossover isn't sort of ironic joke. The Countryman is 5.5 inches longer than a Clubman, 15.7 inches longer than a standard Cooper, seats four and has optional all-wheel drive. The Countryman S is powered by a turbocharged, direct-injection 1.6-liter inline four-cylinder that produces 181 hp at 5,500 rpm and 177 lb-ft of torque. Torque jumps to 192 lb-ft with the over boost feature. Base Cooper Countrymans are powered by a 1.6-liter inline-4 that makes 121 hp at 6,000 rpm and 118 lb-ft of torque.
