The facelifted Avanza features a bold chrome bar connecting the new swept-back headlights that flow into a larger grille, and has a sportier front bumper. The side profile remains largely identical to the outgoing model, while the rear end comes with new taillamp clusters, a chrome garnish above the registration plate, and a roof spoiler.
It measures 4,190 mm long, 1,660 mm wide and 1,695 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,655 mm. Safety features include ABS and EBD, dual airbags, side impact beams, and a smart key with immobilizer.
Inside, the Toyota Avanza has a design similar to the outgoing model, but with upgraded equipment and new trim options. The top-end TX features a double-din music system, power windows for the front doors, dual-zone HVAC system, ISOFIX rear seats, and fabric seat upholstery.
Under the hood, the lower variant is powered by a 1.3-liter gasoline engine with dual VVT-i, which produces 96.5 hp and 120 Nm of torque, and is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Also on offer is a more powerful 1.5-liter 2NR-VE gasoline engine, which delivers 104 hp and 137 Nm, and is paired to a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic.
