2016 Honda Civic (ASEAN-Spec)
Thailand is the first market outside North America where the tenth generation 2016 Honda Civic has been launched.

Here are the first live images of the ASEAN-spec model clicked at a Thai dealership, courtesy Paultan.org.

The 2016 Honda Civic sedan will be available in four trim levels in Thailand: E, EL, TURBO and TURBO RS. While the North American-spec model is offered with a 2.0-litre i-VTEC four-cylinder petrol unit as the base engine, the the ASEAN-spec model is offered with a 1.8-litre i-VTEC four-cylinder petrol unit as the base engine, that develops 141 hp and 174 Nm of torque.

Common to both regions is the 1.5-litre VTEC TURBO turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It’s developed under Earth Dreams Technology and develops 173 hp and 220 Nm of torque in the ASEAN-spec model. Both engines offered in Thailand are available only with a continuously variable transmission, also developed under the Earth Dreams Technology.

Noteworthy features of the Thai-spec 2016 Honda Civic include Engine Remote Start, electric parking brake, 7-inch Display Audio Touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay smartphone integration compatibility and Honda LaneWatch blind spot monitoring system. Five body paint choices are available to choose from: Modern Steel Metallic, White Orchid Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, Cosmic Blue Metallic and Crystal Black Pearl. Modulo Honda Custom Parts will be available optionally.
