It's available in four variants: Civic S, Civic Turbo, Civic RS Turbo, Civic NT Turbo.
The tenth generation Civic introduced in New Zealand is the ASEAN-spec model, which offers a choice between a 1.8L i-VTEC naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol unit that makes 141 hp/174 Nm of torque and a 1.5L VTEC TURBO turbocharged four-cylinder petrol unit that makes 173 hp and 220 Nm of torque. As standard, both models are paired to a CVT with Earth Dreams technology.
As standard, the Civic is equipped with a front, side and full length curtain airbags, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Agile Handling Assist System (AHA), Straight Drive Assist, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Emergency Brake Assist System (EBA), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Tyre Deflation Warning System and seatbelt reminders on all seating positions.
Other equipment include a 7 inch touchscreen display with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, reverse camera, cruise control, bluetooth connectivity and LED DRLs as standard in all variants. The 1.5L variants are available with features like LED headlamps, walk away auto lock, remote engine start, LaneWatch Camera, chrome door handles and 17-inch two tone alloy wheels.
According to a recent report, the 2016 Honda Civic could launch in India within the next 24 months.
