2016 Honda Civic Spied Testing In Malaysia
The tenth generation 2016 Honda Civic has already been launched in the Asia-Pacific markets of Thailand, Indonesia and China.

Next up, are Philippines, Singapore and Malaysia. In Philippines, the company is already accepting pre-orders for the all-new model, while in Singapore, a teaser has already been put-up for the imminent launch. In Malaysia, the car is being road-tested for final evaluations, as seen in these spyshots shared by Paultan.org reader Mohd Yaszli.

The ASEAN-spec 2016 Honda Civic is available with two engine options: 1.8-litre i-VTEC naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol unit that makes 141 hp and 174 Nm of torque and 1.5-litre unit VTEC TURBO turbocharged four-cylinder petrol unit that makes 173 hp and 220 Nm of torque. There’s no choice of the 6-speed manual transmission unlike in other markets, the continuously variable transmission is standard and the only transmission on offer.

Like the VTEC TURBO engine, the continuously variable transmission employed in the new generation Civic is also developed under Honda’s Earth Dreams Technology.

Noteworthy features of the 2016 Honda Civic include full LED headlights with LED daytime running lights, LED tail lights, 8-way electrically adjustable seats, 7-inch infotainment system with satellite navigation, Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Brake Hold function, VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist), HSA (Hill Stability Assist), ABS + EBD and Brake Override System. Modulo accessories are offered optionally for giving styling upgrades to the car.
