The new generation Honda Freed reportedly measures 4,250 mm in length, 1,695 mm in width and 1,710 mm in height. Up front, the all-new Freed features the “Solid Wing Face”, one of the core design elements of the “EXCITING H DESIGN” design language that was first used for the third generation Honda Fit (Honda Jazz) introduced in 2013. Honda Fit-like headlamps and redesigned bumper, radiator grille and air dam grille round up the changes on the front.
At the sides, not much has changed except new design doors and reshaped windows and quarter glass panels. The rear-end is yet to be revealed, but it can be seen in the image below that the taillamps have been completely redesigned.
Honda hasn’t fully released any equipment or mechanical specifications of the 2016 Honda Freed so far. However, the company has revealed on its website that the new generation Freed will be available in SPORT HYBRID i-DCD and 1.5 i-VTEC models. The hybrid model will reportedly have a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
