Just weeks ahead of its market launch, the 2016 Honda Freed has been spied testing by Twitter user l_wvvw_l in Japan.
The 2016 Honda Freed's complete specifications are yet to be revealed, but many details have been revealed online ahead of launch. The all-new Freed measures 4,265 mm in length, which means Honda has stretched the compact people mover by 50 mm for its second generation.
The 2016 Freed will be available in two versions in Japan: two-row (5-seat) and three-row (6- or 7-seat). The 5-seat version is called 'Freed+'. The model range has been divided into three trim levels: EX, G (with Honda Sensing) and B. The 7-seat layout won't be available in the latter.
The 2016 Honda Freed will be available in petrol and hybrid models. The former packs a 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine, while the latter features the company's new Sport Hybrid i-DCD (intelligent Dual-Clutch Drive) powertrain. The hybrid model will reportedly have a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Four-wheel drive will be available in both models.
