The new generation Elantra will launch in India mid-year.
The China-spec 2016 Hyundai Elantra measures 4,610 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width and 1,450 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. It’s available in eight grades. Three engine options are available: a 1.6-litre MPI petrol unit that produces 93.8 kW (126 hp) and 155.5 Nm of torque, a 1.6-litre GDI petrol unit that produces 95.3 kW (128 hp) and 157 Nm of torque and a 1.4-litre T-GDI unit that produces 95.6 kW (128 hp) and 210.8 Nm of torque. Transmission choices include 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. Internationally, the 2016 Hyundai Elantra is offered with 2.0-litre MPI petrol and 1.6-litre VGT CRDi diesel engine options as well.
Noteworthy features of the 2016 Hyundai Elantra include HID headlights, LED daytime running lights, LED tail lights, 8.0-inch infotainment system with satellite navigation, Android Auto, voice-controlled search, app-based navigation and streaming audio and 6-speaker sound system. Safety and assistance features include 7 airbags, Traction Control, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Vehicle Stability Management (VSM).
