2016 North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year Short List Announced

For now, the judges have released the official short list for the 2016 award. The NACTOY jury is comprised of 57 automotive experts in North America, including AutoblogEditor-in-Chief Mike Austin. The vehicles listed below receive a little extra attention and evaluation from the jury before the deadline for the next ballot. The three finalists in each category will be revealed in early December. The jurors will then vote once more to decide the winners.

In 2015, the Volkswagen Golf/GTI and Ford F-150 were named the North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year. The nominees for the 2016 award are as follows.
