Did Lionel Messi Beat Ronaldo to the World’s Most Expensive Ferrari?
After beating the Real Madrid forward to the 2015 Ballon D’Or, it appears Lionel Messi has denied Cristiano Ronaldo for a second time in as many months.

During the auction of this breathtaking 1957 Ferrari 335 S Spider Scaglietti at the Paris Retromobile last week, Spanish newspaper, Sport, claims the Barcelona ace outbid Ronaldo, with 32 million Euros (or $35.7 million) enough to secure the car that Sir Stirling Moss drove to victory at the 1958 Cuban Grand Prix.

While the identity of the winning bidder officially remains under wraps, the Proto Organization who arranged the sale for the car’s previous owner has claimed the two biggest names in world football battled it out to acquire the legendary prancing horse. Those close to the Argentinian maestro, however, flatly refuse these claims. More importantly, can you imagine Messi turning up to training in this? The look on Dani Alves face would be priceless.
