2017 Honda Jazz (Fit) spied for the first time

The third generation Honda Jazz arrived in mid-2013 and while a mid-cycle change was expected, there seemed to be no evidence for it. New spy shots published by Noticias Automotivas now, however, have revealed that Honda has started testing the facelifted Honda Jazz.

The 2017 Honda Jazz is in the wraps, but the facelift will bring styling changes on the front and rear of the car. The facelifted Honda Jazz's front fascia could have some similarities to the recently facelifted Honda City's. New LED headlights, revised grille design, restyled bumper and reshaped fog lamp housing should round-up the changes at the front. Changes at the rear will include restyled bumper and new LED tail lights.

Besides new trim and upholstery (varying based on markets), interior changes in the 2017 Honda Jazz may include updated instrument panel and the new 7-inch Digipad touchscreen infotainment system from the 2017 Honda City. Revisions to the equipment offered in different grades are obvious and will vary as per the market.

The 2017 Honda Jazz should continue with the current model's engine options which include the 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol unit delivering 66 kW (88.47 hp) and 110 Nm of torque, 1.3-litre i-VTEC petrol unit producing 73 kW (100 PS) and 119 Nm of torque, 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol unit developing 97 kW (132 PS) and 155 Nm of torque and the 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine good for 100 PS and 200 Nm of torque. The i-VTEC FlexOne flex-fuel (petrol-ethanol) and i-DCD hybrid (petrol-electric) would also continue further. CVT, 5-speed MT, 6-speed MT and 7-speed DCT should once again form the transmission choices.

The 2017 Honda Jazz's launch timeline isn't available yet, but international markets can expect it to arrive in the second half of the year.
