The company has announced that, as expected, the facelifted Isuzu MU-X will be officially unveiled next month. A teaser video has been released to reveal a few of the key changes made to the SUV with the facelift.
Up front, the 2017 Isuzu MU-X seems to feature new projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights, redesigned grille, revised bumper and reshaped fog lamps with chrome garnish on the fog lamp housing. On the sides, the new MU-X gets new 18-inch alloy wheels, while at the rear, the only change known so far is new LED tail lights.
The facelift was expected to bring several changes to the interior of the Isuzu MU-X, including a revised dashboard and new seat upholstery. The teaser image reveals that the mid-size SUV features new beige interior. The dashboard is still black, but is embellished with wood trim.
The 2017 Isuzu MU-X is said to be offered with the same engines and transmissions from the current model. The pre-facelift model is available with the RZ4E-TC 1.9-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 110 kW (150 PS) and 350 Nm of torque and the 4JJ1-TCX 3.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that develops 130 kW (177 PS) and 380 Nm of torque. Transmission choices include 6-speed manual and 6-speed Rev Tronic automatic. A four-wheel drive system is currently available only in the 3.0-litre model.
