The 2017 Kia Rio hatchback was photographed at 2016 Paris Motor Show venue by Autohome, ahead of its world debut.

It will enter production towards the end of 2016 and go on sale in European markets in early 2017.

The fourth generation Kia Rio features a new yet recognizable design. The highlights of the exterior are swept back projector headlamps with U-shaped LED DRLs, wider 'tiger-nose' grille and redesigned taillamps with arrow-shaped LED light signature. The B-Segment car is 15 mm longer, 5 mm wider and 5 mm lower than the outgoing version. The wheelbase also has been extended by 10 mm.

The interior features a new dashboard, instrument cluster, centre console, door panels and floor console. The dashboard houses a new 'floating HMI' (human-machine interface) touchscreen infotainment system and lesser buttons than before.

The new Rio will be offered with a selection of petrol and diesel engines with displacements ranging between 1.0L to 1.6L. Transmission options could include a 4-speed automatic, 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic in Europe.
