The fourth generation model will reach the dealerships in mid-April.
Italy gets the 2017 Suzuki Swift in four trim levels: Easy, Cool, Top and S. In all, there are six different configurations available to choose from. Key features include full LED headlights with automatic adjustment, LED daytime running lights, ORVMs with power adjustment and heating functions, 16-inch two-tone alloy wheels, heated front seats, automatic climate control, 7-inch infotainment system with navigation, reversing camera and engine start-stop system.
The 2017 Suzuki Swift measures 3,840 mm in length, 1,735 mm in width and 1,480 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,450 mm and a ground clearance of 120 mm. Two engines are available: K12C 1.2-litre DUALJET four-cylinder petrol and K10C 1.0-litre BOOSTERJET three-cylinder petrol. The 1.2-litre unit produces 66 kW (90 CV/90 hp) and 120 Nm of torque, while the 1.0-litre unit develops 82 kW (112 CV/112 hp) and 170 Nm of torque. Mild-hybrid variants of these engine models are also available, which have an electric motor generating 1.9 kW (2.55 hp) and 50 Nm of torque.
The 1.2 Dualjet, 1.2 Hybrid and 1.0 Boosterjet Hybrid models get a 5-speed manual transmission as standard, while the 1.0-litre BOOSTERJET model has a 6-speed automatic transmission. Only the 1.2 Hybrid model has an option for the ALLGRIP AUTO four-wheel drive system.
The all-new Suzuki Swift is priced from €10,950 in Italy. Indian launch of the new generation Maruti Swift will reportedly happen in early 2018, with the all-new Maruti Dzire heading out into the market in May.
