The 2017 Suzuki Swift Sport was digitally unveiled with a single image on July 24, 2017.
The Sport variant gets a bigger, single piece front grille along with bigger fog lamp enclosures. The new bumper features sharper cuts and creases. The 2018 Swift Sport rides on new dual tone alloy wheels. At the back, it features a faux diffuser that houses a dual exhaust setup with chrome tips and a stop lamp. The headlamp and tail lamp profile and detailing remain the same.
The 2017 Suzuki Swift Sport features bucket seats with ‘Sport’ in red lettering just under the headrest. The cabin gets red accents on the seat, centre console, gear lever and across the dashboard. The instrument dials too get red highlights with the tachometer finished in red and the speedometer in grey.
The catalogue leak also lists the colours on offer – Yellow, Red, Blue, White, Grey, and Black. Other details will be revealed at its official debut at IAA 2017 in Frankfurt on September 12.
The 2017 Suzuki Swift Sport will get a new 1.4 L turbocharged engine in place of the 1.6 L NA petrol. This four-cylinder mill, as per Japanese news articles, puts out 150 PS at 5,500 rpm and 25.0 kgf.m (245.17 Nm) of torque from 1,500-4,000 rpm. 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic are the expected transmission choices.
