The company will commence pre-launch activities for the 2018 Honda Amaze in April.
Unlike the first generation model, the new Honda Amaze has been built from the ground up as a sedan, a fact that is evident in the way it looks. The styling borrows heavily from its elder siblings Honda Civic and Honda Accord. At the front, the new Amaze features a hexagonal front grille with Honda's upright signature chrome wing flanked by headlamps with DRLs. At the back, it gets C-shaped tail lamps inspired by those of the 2018 Honda Accord.
Inside, the Amaze's cabin now has a touchscreen infotainment system and automatic climate control. It has also gained a cruise control system. Its interior has a two-tone beige-black colour scheme and gloss black trim inserts.
The 1.2 L i-VTEC petrol and 1.5 L i-DTEC diesel engines are likely to be carried over from the outgoing model with minor updates. However, this time around, not just the petrol, but the diesel variant will also have a CVT option. Exact specifications and features will be revealed closer to the launch of the second generation Honda Amaze.
