The 2018 Suzuki Swift Sport is just weeks away from its world premiere at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Suzuki will offer the 2018 Suzuki Swift Sport with a number of accessories for personalising the car. The list will include decals for the bonnet, front quarter panel, doors and C-pillar in two colours – black and grey, brake calipers in three colours – red, blue and yellow, "Swift" branded fuel cap lid and red/black floor mats. It looks like there are at least 86 different accessories for the JDM-spec all-new Swift/Swift Sport. Spy media suggests that the company will offer multiple alloy wheel choices in the all-new model.
Under the hood, the 2018 Suzuki Swift Sport has a modified version of the Suzuki Vitara's K14C 1.4-litre petrol engine. This turbocharged four-cylinder mill develops 140 PS at 5,500 rpm and 230 Nm of torque from 2,500-3,500 rpm. 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic are the transmission choices. Front-wheel drive drivetrain layout is standard. The fuel economy in the JC08 test cycle is rated at 16.4 km/l (MT)/16.2 (AT).
The 2017 Suzuki Swift Sport, as per a leaked document, will go on sale in Japan on 20 September 2017. Its global launch should take place by early 2018, beginning with Europe. Maruti Suzuki has never launched the Maruti Swift Sport in India, but it was reported last year that the company is considering the third generation model for launch.
