The 2018 Toyota C-HR will get a contrasting-color roof option, nifty teal paint
While walking the floor of the Chicago auto show, we ran across a striking little Toyota C-HR crossover.

While the car itself is equipped like other models we've seen, it sports an eye-catching bright metallic teal body, and gloss white contrasting roof. It also has prototype stickers that had us wondering whether the paint scheme was for production. A quick conversation with Toyota representatives on the floor, and we discovered that, yes, you'll be able to pick up a C-HR in this color.

Not only that, but the white roof will be available on other colors as well. The representatives didn't give us a full list, but they mentioned that there will be a red and another blue color that will offer the contrasting roof. Not every color will have the option, and the roof can only be had in body color or in white. One of the representatives mentioned that Toyota is also considering offering a black roof option for the 2019 model year. However those plans aren't concrete yet.

We will confess that not everyone here agrees that the teal and white is a great combination. However, in a world where silver seems to be the only color you see on the road, we should embrace the option to pick bold colors in every form.
