2019 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R range with more power revealed
Kawasaki has unveiled the 2019 Ninja ZX-10R range featuring significant updates to the powertrain.

Mechanical updates on the 2019 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R include a new finger follower valve actuation system (replacing the tappet-style valves), which has resulted in a valve-train mass reduction of 20 per cent. The new system helps the engine to rev higher and sustain it for a longer duration. The finger follower valve system is standard on all the models - Ninja ZX-10R, ZX-10RR, and ZX-10R SE.

The engine features a redesigned cylinder head, while a red cam cover distinguishes the power-train from the old motor. The 998 cc, in line 4-cylinder engine now produces 2.8 bhp more (total 200 bhp) on the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R and 1 bhp (total 201 bhp) on the ZX-10RR, without the RAM-air intake.

The 2019 Ninja ZX-10R range also features a bi-directional quick-shifter as standard. On the other hand, the ZX-10RR gets a tweaked suspension for track riding, while the Ninja ZX-10R SE features the 'Highly Durable Paint' technology, which self-heals minor scratches. The new Ninja ZX-10R is available in the KRT colour scheme with red streaks on its engine underbelly and on the windscreen.

The 2019 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R SE gets a black and green paint option with green highlights on its seat. The 2019 Ninja ZX-10RR comes with the Kawasaki Lime Green colour with black graphics. The ZX-10RR is limited to 500 units globally and features new Pankl titanium con-rods. This shaves off 400 gm on the engine weight and enables it to rev 600 rpm higher.
