Leaked images confirm the new RS5 is a plug-in hybrid with serious muscle. But you’ll have to wait a while to see them in full.

Key Points

  • Both sedan and wagon versions of the new Audi RS 5 have leaked online.
  • Images show wider arches and a bold, attention-grabbing design.
  • Interior impresses; powertrain details unconfirmed but expected to exceed 500 horsepower.

Audi’s launch for the all-new RS 5 is not going well. After an official social media post prematurely revealed that the new RS 5 would be a plug-in hybrid last month, both sedan and wagon versions of the high-performance model have leaked online, revealing the cars’ looks before the reveal, which we suspect is imminent.

All-New Audi RS 5 Ready to Impress

From what we have seen, the new RS 5 looks imposing from any angle, and is certain to grab attention when it appears in your rearview mirror. From the teaser images, we can see the arches are wider than those of the A5 and S5.

2027 Audi RS 5 Has a Focused Interior, Powertrain Details Yet to Be Confirmed
We have seen the interior images and can confirm that Audi fans are going to be suitably impressed. Now that images have leaked, all that remains is to see how much power the new RS 5 produces, but well over 500 horsepower is likely. For the record, the outgoing B9 RS 4 that this effectively replaces made a peak of 464 hp (in Edition 25 Years form) and 443 lb-ft of torque.
