“Furious 7” took in some $143.6 million in its opening weekend alone. Remarkably, the “Furious” franchise is actually becoming more lucrative over time and an eighth film is already in the works. The franchise is so profitable that Bloomberg Business has done a complete analysis, using charts and graphs, on the rate of things such as furious language and usages of nitrous oxide in each of the seven films.   1. There’s almost a total of 14 hours of Fast & Furious on film.
  2. "Furious 7" contains the greatest amount of "fast" time (49 out of 137 minutes), meaning the time for driving or riding in vehicles, including cars, trains and planes.
  3. "Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift" had the least hand-to-hand combat, discharging of weapons and slamming one vehicle into another.
  4. "Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift" also had the least amount of swearing. "2 Fast 2 Furious had the most."
  5. The original film, "The Fast and the Furious," had the greatest use of nitrous oxide for short speed boosts. The use of NOS in the sequels has declined.
  6. The theme of family was utilized most in "Fast & Furious 6".
  7. All told, the franchise has generated more than $3 billion and counting.
