Following the awe-inspiring Porsche 911 GTStreet R, legendary tuner Techart has applied its expertise to the 911 Turbo Cabriolet. Providing "open-air driving pleasure with breathtaking performance" the latest power kit for the Techart GTstreet R Cabriolet boosts the total power output of the cabriolet to 720 horsepower, allowing the open top version of the GTstreet R to sprint from 0-60 mph in 2.7 seconds and achieve a top track speed of 211 mph. Two other power kits are also available rated at 600 and 640-horsepower.
Aesthetically, the Techart GTstreet R is more refined than its hardtop sibling, trading the brash lime green color scheme for a more subtle black body with yellow stripes. You still of course get the same carbon fiber aero updates as the hardtop, including an active front spoiler, air intakes, front fenders, side skirts, a rear diffuser, and, naturally, a giant, eye-catching rear wing. In Performance Mode, the wing automatically raises and the angle is adjusted by up to 15 degrees, while a large aerodynamically shaped carbon air intake unit ensures the engine receives sufficient air supply. These upgrades produce a total downforce of 321 kg at 186 mph.
Techart has also fitted the GTstreet R Cabriolet with enlarged tire dimensions to increase the level of grip. At the front are 265/35 ZR 20 tires, or customers can opt for 265/30 ZR 21 front tires instead, and 325/30 ZR 20 tires or optional 325/25 ZR 21 tires at the rear. A choice of 20-inch or 21-inch wheels are available, which can be individually customized with different colors and surface finishes. Inside, the dashboard, center console, roof liner, sun visors and door pillars can be covered in leather or Alcantara, while the mode switch at the steering wheel, the air vents, the air vent adjusters, the PDK gear selector, the gear lever surround and the seat adjustment are lacquered in custom color.
Optional carbon fiber parts can also be fitted to the interior, along with sport or sport bucket seats. The Techart sport steering wheel is also smaller than the standard 911 Turbo Cabriolet's, with a straight-ahead marke and paddle back-covers which can be individually customized. Rounding off the interior are color-matched instrument dials, door entry guards and aluminium sport pedals.
