ABC Motors Will Provide 65 New Buses for NTC

The final decision was taken and it was approved by the Central Procurement Board on Thursday. This is the ABC Motors was awarded the contract to provide 65 new buses of the National Transport Corporation (NTC) firm. With this new year, the NTC will be a saving of not less than Rs 50 M.
At the end of the evaluation process, so it's ABC Motors was awarded the contract and the company will provide all of the 65 bus for an amount of Rs 218,732,104. This amount also includes maintenance of 250 000 km as stipulated in the tender. This new tender seems to support those who decided to repeat the exercise. As this will allow the NTC to save Rs 50 M.
At the deadline for submission of bids, on October 22, only two bidders, namely ABC Motors and Iframac, had their proposals. As part of this tender exercise, potential bidders were free to make their proposal for Lot 1, that is to say 40 buses of 60-65 seats, or for Lot 2, which includes 25 bus 35-40 seats or for both lots. However, at the opening of proposals, the firm Iframac made a proposal for Lot 1 only and for an amount of Rs 126.7 million. For its part, ABC Motors has submitted a proposal for the two lots, 40 buses of 60-65 seats for an amount of Rs 136.6 million and 25 buses of 35-40 seats at a cost of Rs 82.1 million.
As a reminder, in this tender specifications defined by the NTC state that, according to the tender documents, the buses must be equipped with two sets of six forward speeds and one reverse speed, d a diesel engine with a capacity from 160 to 225 HP and 'speed limiters' to stop the bus at 70 km / h, among others.
