En revanche, concernant ceux qui quittent le pays, un seul véhicule sera permis d’accès par passager. Des véhicules privés pourront récupérer ceux en provenance de Rodrigues, à condition qu’ils quittent les lieux tout de suite. Idem pour ceux qui accompagnent un passager qui s’en va à l’étranger. Seuls les passagers seront permis d’accéder à l’intérieur du bâtiment, indique encore le communiqué de la police.

POLICE COMMUNIQUÉ

Pursuant to Government Notice No. 142 of 2021, whereby certain activities and access to certain places as listed in the schedule will be allowed, however, the public is hereby informed that access to SSR International Airport will be restricted to certain categories of persons and conditions as laid down below:

i. Access to be restricted to duly authorized persons bearing a valid pass issued by the Department of Civil Aviation;

ii. No taxis or public buses to be allowed access to the airport beyond the police checkpoint;

iii. Access to be granted to one vehicle for each departing passenger. For arriving passengers from Rodrigues, private vehicles will be allowed to access to the terminal and after collecting the passengers the vehicles will be requested to leave the airport;

iv. At the drop off zone, accompanying parties will be requested to immediately leave the airport;

v. Only passengers will be allowed to enter the airport terminal building;

vi. ATOL will provide a shuttle service after the police checkpoint to and from the airport building.
