An officer of the police station Coromandel was arrested on Tuesday for corruption offenses. The case is part of a complaint recorded by an employee of the mobile phone company Emtel.
The latter recounted to detectives of the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) have been controlled by the constable of the Royal Road, to the tune of Coromandel.
The agent has complained it has to have a red light. To settle the matter, the officer calls the driver, Rs 2,000 pot of wine. The driver gave him the money he had in his pocket, or Rs 500, before going to denounce the agent Anti-Corruption Commission. A team from the ICAC, accompanied by police, was arrested the constable. She has conducted a body search before entering the sum of Rs 500. When questioned, the constable, who has ten years of service, has denied receiving a bribe. He was released on parole. He will appear in court Wednesday to be charged.
