Alpine unveiled a two-wheel-drive race car in September last year as a logical addition to the A110's lineup. Just a few weeks ago, it also displayed an interesting crossover-coupe mashup concept, demonstrating the off-road potential of the sports car's platform. Now, the French automaker has introduced a new limited-edition model based on the A110, wearing the Legende GT suffix.
Alpine describes the two-door coupe as "the most refined interpretation of the A110 to date," of which just 400 will be produced to become "the most sought-after A110 so far." The special-edition model will be offered in three exterior colors Mercury Silver, Deep Black, and Abyss Blue with the first one being a new addition to Alpine's color palette.
Inside the cabin, the sports car gets a bespoke upholstery shade and matching leather on the door panels. A 12 o'clock marker on the steering wheel adds a nice contrasting touch, while a stylish plate on the center console marks the car's build number.
Available to order in France with a starting price of €69,300, or roughly $77,000 at the current rates, the A110 Legende GT also comes equipped with a custom luggage set, finished in the same color as the leather seats.
Alongside the limited-run version, Alpine is also introducing the A110 Color Edition program which will run annually offering customers a different color combination on a yearly rotation. For 2020, Alpine has recreated a famous color from its past, the Sunflower Yellow with contrasting black elements, such as the brand's logos, 18-inch GT Race alloy wheels, and inserts in the front LED headlights.
The 2020 A110 Color Edition will be available to order between now and the end of the year with prices starting at €71,000 ($79,275). No mechanical upgrades are reported.
