Aston Martin V12 Zagato is modern mobile art
Aston Martin makes beautiful cars. There's no argument there as this is an automotive fact.

The Milan, Italy-based Zagato design house, however, can take any car and make it mobile art. It's done just that with the Aston Martin V12 Zagato, a limited-edition show stopper that makes our hearts hurt in Frankfurt.

Why the heartache? We don't have the necessary £330,000 to buy one. That figure works out to roughly $522,000 U.S. greenbacks, and once you hear the noise this car makes you'll feel a bit better about the pricetag. It also helps that Aston Martin and Zagato will only build 150 examples in total. Production is slated to start in the summer of 2012, which means we have an awful lot of lawns to mow to get ready.

We were expecting that the show car displayed here in Frankfurt would be the production-ready model, but what we had instead was the same example that was shown at Villa d'Este and Pebble Beach, and raced at the Nurburgring. Only this one did away with the spoiler in favor of a new trunk lid.
