Audi Reveals A1 Sportback Five-Door
The A1 has grown another two doors. Audi has just unveiled a new five-door version of the hatchback designed to give European buyers a little more flexibility when it comes to moving people and cargo.

Like its three-door counterpart, the new model will be available with a total of six engine options, including three gasoline mills and three diesel lumps when Audi arrives in show rooms early next year. The most powerful of those engines is a turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder good for 185 horsepower, and buyers willing to lay down the cash can opt for the company's six-speed S Tronic transmission.

Inside, the vehicle's luggage compartment serves up around 9.5 cubic feet of cargo area, though than number swells to over 32 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down. Audi says that the back head rests don't need to be removed in order to stash the back bench, and the A1 Sportback features a loading deck that's just a little over 25 inches off of the ground
