The launch pricing of the new Honda City sees it starting at AUD 500 (INR 28,323) cheaper than the model it is replacing. All variants are powered by a 1.5-liter petrol engine that develops 118 hp @ 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm @ 4,600 rpm. The average fuel consumption is rated at 17.54 kmpl, which is 14 percent better than the outgoing model.
The City retains its length but cabin space benefits from a 50 mm wheelbase extension. Boot space stands at a class-topping 536 liters.
The manual version of the City is equipped with a five-speed gearbox which starts at AUD 15,990 (Rs 452 900), while the other variants come with a CVT and cost up to AUD 22,390 (Rs 634 200).
