The all-new fourth-generation Honda City has been launched in Australia. Imported from the Thai plant, the City comes in four variants in manual and automatic transmission options.

The launch pricing of the new Honda City sees it starting at AUD 500 (INR 28,323) cheaper than the model it is replacing. All variants are powered by a 1.5-liter petrol engine that develops 118 hp @ 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm @ 4,600 rpm. The average fuel consumption is rated at 17.54 kmpl, which is 14 percent better than the outgoing model.

The City retains its length but cabin space benefits from a 50 mm wheelbase extension. Boot space stands at a class-topping 536 liters.

The manual version of the City is equipped with a five-speed gearbox which starts at AUD 15,990 (Rs 452 900), while the other variants come with a CVT and cost up to AUD 22,390 (Rs 634 200).
