Australia's Most Powerful Car Vs. CLA45 AMG
In Australia the 577 hp Holden HSV GTS is only slightly more expensive than a CLA45 AMG. But which is better in a drag race?

The Holden HSV Gen-F GTS is the most powerful car to emerge from the land down under. The Australian-made motor boasts a 6.2-liter V8 rated at 577 hp and 546 lb-ft of torque and costs the equivalent of close to $90,000. Imported cars are pricy in Australia, so when the country’s Drive magazine looked for a competitor for the high-performance Holden it turned to the Mercedes CLA45 AMG, which wears a sticker price of over $82,000. In the US it’s priced at $48,355.

For that you get the world’s most powerful four-cylinder engine: a 2.0-liter turbo-four rated at 355 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque. So how do these models compare in a drag race? With 4WD and 322 kg less weight, the CLA45 AMG is a more worthy opponent than you might think.
