Blink And You'll Miss One Of The Most Legendary Motorbike and Car Pairings Ever For Sale
If you don't know the name "Honda City Turbo II," chances are excellent you know about the Motocompo. How rare is it to find them together?

If you're a fan of the original Honda Motocompo, you know that every once in a while, one of them comes up for sale. And that's cool and all, and maybe you even have one in your collection already. To which I say, more power to you! That's excellent news, if that's what you want.

But for a certain kind of person, once they found out that the Motocompo was specifically developed to conveniently fit in the boot of a Honda City Turbo II, only finding the two together will do. That is a much tougher ask, and even tougher still if you're looking to find a matching set like this one that's about to find a new home over on Cars & Bids.

The auction has less than two hours left on it at the time of writing, so chances are excellent it's already over by the time you're reading this. Right now, bidding is up to $19,500, where it's stayed for a little bit, and it's not difficult to understand why. It comes with a clean US title, is located in Georgia, and looks spectacular for its age. It's clearly been well cared-for, and even though there are some minor flaws that are noted in the listing (things like a small scuff on the driver's-side fender, age-related wear and discoloration in some spots, and a dented cover on the Motocompo), it all seems like these bumps and bruises were honestly earned.

I mean, you wouldn't expect anything to live a life for 40 years and not have a few dings and dents, right? Nothing major; just things that indicate that it's lived a life, and not just been stuck on display somewhere and never used for its intended purpose. Granted, some collectors want perfection, and that's up to them.

For me, though, I'm always more keen on motorbikes and cars that have actually been used to go out and do things. Since the listing notes that there are an indicated 77,200 kilometers (or about 48,000 miles) on the clock of the City Turbo II, that seems like it's lived a life. And that's something I can definitely respect.

Even though this auction is more than likely over already, I'm still telling you about this because I think you should go flip through all 100-plus photos on the original listing. If you're a similar kind of nerd to me, the joy you'll get from simply doing that could possibly turn your entire day around, and I think that's worth even more than whatever the bid gets up to. Go on and enjoy it.
