BMW M5 Battles Mercedes E63 AMG on the Drag Strip
The battle for German performance sedan dominance continues. These are two of the most potent sedans on the market today, so why not take them to the track to see which is faster in a straight line?

Powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 with 560 hp, the F10 BMW M5 is good for a 4.3-second 0-100 km/h time, while the 550-hp 5.5 liter twin-turbo V8 sitting in the Mercedes E63 AMG is 0.1 second slower to 100. Both have their top speeds limited to 250 km/h. On paper then, there’s barely anything between the German five-door powerhouses.

But as we know, numbers mean nothing when it comes to a drag race.
