Frankfurt Motor Show: BRABUS Ultimate E Concept
Brabus Zero Emission, aftermarket tuner Brabus’ alternate powertrain division, presented the Brabus Ultimate E Concept at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA 2017).

Based on a Smart ForTwo coupe, the car gets an all-electric powertrain boasting truly impressive specifications.

The Brabus Ultimate E Concept is fitted with an electric motor that develops 201 HP and 350 Nm propelling the car to 100 km/h from standstill in just 4.5 seconds. It can reach a top speed of 180 km/h. Mounted behind the rear axle is a transverse electric motor. Power comes from a 22kWh lithium-ion battery pack installed in the vehicle floor. Brabus claims the Ultimate E has a maximum range of 160 kilometers (100 miles). No word on how quickly the battery will drain if the driver decides to challenge the Brabus's 0-100 km/h time and top speed claims, though.

In typical Brabus fashion, the vehicle gets outlandish cosmetic changes including a wide body kit and forged 18-inch alloys finished in black. The car is finished in a bright yellow shade with contrasting black grille, roof spoiler, and black headlamp inlays. The 'Battery Power by KREISEL' is a nod to the Austrian company Kreisel Electric's contribution in the project.

The cabin dons a rather loud blue and yellow theme along with Brabus aluminium pedals and 'Ultimate E' badging on the centre console and parking brake lever.

Brabus says the car is undergoing road testing currently. It may enter series production if there is sufficient demand, albeit in small numbers.
