When Bugatti unveils its Veyron successor next year, the growling, money-grabbing and tire-burning model will be named after one of the company's former racing drivers, Louis Chiron. This isn't the first time that Bugatti will have honored Chiron, a Grand Prix driver with too many victories and championships to be listed: in 1999, the company presented the Bugatti 18/3 Chiron concept designed by ItalDesign and pictured throughout this article.
As for the upcoming model is expected to be powered by a hybrid, 8.0-liter W16 producing 1,479 horsepower and topping out at 460 km/h, "the fastest top speed of any series-production road car, together with the sort of drivability to allow you to use it every day". Sounds like we can't wait to meet Chiron.
