With the implementation of the Grand Baie La Croisette project, daily traffic in this area is expected to increase, therefore the redevelopment works have been done in order to allow a smoother flow of traffic.
“Grand Baie La Croisette is expected to be a major attraction and expects many visitors every day. We want to improve traffic conditions and access to our centre while improving the aesthetics of the main road leading to the Grand Baie centre and beach,” said Ashwin Chinnayya, director of the centre.
The major changes include a roundabout to replace the existing traffic signal at the junction of Chemin Vingt Pieds, Sottise Road towards Grand Baie and Sottise Road towards The Vale.
Two bus shelters will be built for two bus stops located vis-à-vis the highway, just before the entrance of Chemin Vingt Pieds.
Grand Baie La Croisette will open by October end.
