Chevrolet Trailblazer Makes World Debut in Thailand
General Motors officially launched its new midsize Trailblazer SUV at the Bangkok auto show in Thailand. GM said the Trailblazer will be sold in Asia, the Middle East and South America.

The companion Chevrolet Colorado pickup goes into production in the U.S. later this year. Both the Colorado and the Trailblazer are built on GM's new global body-on-frame midsize truck architecture, and share a number of styling cues created at the automaker's South America Design Center in Brazil.

The new Trailblazer debuted as a concept last fall at the 2011 Dubai Auto Show. The production version, which is being assembled in Rayong and goes on sale first in Thailand, is available in two- and four-wheel drive, and is powered by GM's new four-cylinder Duramax turbodiesel engines.
