Boys will be boys after all, so no one ought to be really shocked by this latest bit of Top Gear news. While out filming the latest DVD installment showcasing the perfect road trip, Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond took to the scenic roads of France, behind the wheel of an Aston Martin Vanquish and Porsche 911 GT3, respectively. But the pair’s arrival in France, shall we say, was a bit less than welcoming. They got busted by the French cops for speeding. Clarkson was clocked at going 140 km/h in a 88 km/h zone and Hammond was going 141 km/h.
Their punishment: the cops forced them to empty their wallets on the spot and suspended their driving privileges in France for three months. The film crew had to come to come pick them up after the cops left. Clarkson offered this advice: "Top tip: if you are going to break the speed limit, make sure you’re not in France."
