Classic Aston Martin DB5 To Appear in James Bond Skyfall Chase Scene
The familiar weapon-clad Aston Martin DB5 that first appeared in the 1964 James Bond film Goldfinger has been spotted on the set of the new 007 blockbuster Skyfall.

Britain's The Sun caught the vehicle on the Skyfall movie set in Glencoe, Scotland, and the Rupert Murdoch tabloid is reporting that actor Daniel Craig will drive a silver Aston Martin DB5 sports car in the upcoming film. It will be equipped with machine guns similar to the 1964 car that appeared originally in Goldfinger with Sean Connery behind the wheel as Bond.

This Aston Martin DB5 has the same license plate as it did in Goldfinger. A sleek silver model also appeared in films Thunderball, Casino Royale, Tomorrow Never Dies and GoldenEye. Skyfall will be the first time since Goldfinger that the DB5 appears on the silver screen in a car chase.

The car will help celebrate the movie franchise's 50th anniversary, and is similar to, but not the same vehicle as, the one that fetched over $4 million at RM Auctions' Automobiles of London auction in October 2010.

Both the Range Rover Evoque and Jaguar XJ L are rumored to be in the movie as well.

Skyfall is scheduled to hit U.K. theaters October 26 with Craig starring as the suave secret agent Bond and Judi Dench returning again as his boss M. Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris and Javier Bardem will also appear in the film, which makes the jump across the pond on November 9.
