Classic Car Theme Park Planned in France
Wandering around Paris can feel like a timeless experience, especially if you see classic Citroëns and Renaults zipping around the Arc de Triomphe and up the Champs-Elysée.

But those looking for a real throwback automotive experience will want to drive a couple hundred miles southeast from the French capital, where developers are planning a new classic car theme park.

Set to open in the summer of 2017, the site will include restaurants, old-style garages, picnic grounds, a drive-in theater, camping sites and exhibits celebrating the automobile.

The location in the Côte-d'Or region is situated off of Route 6, not far from Dijon, the Prenois circuit that used to host the Swiss Grand Prix, the medieval Château de la Rochepot and the celebrated Bel-Air garage. That would make it an ideal stopping point on the road from the Bugatti factory in Molsheim to the north and the Magny-Cours circuit that was long home to the French Grand Prix to the south.

Ferrari is reportedly building its second theme park at PortAventura, 500 miles to the south near Barcelona.
