Cop cops cop - at 193km/h
Speeding through traffic lights, driving on the shoulder of the road… we all know authority figures love to flex their power, sometimes even dangerously abusing their position.

It's not often you hear about a policeman being arrested, let alone by another cop on the road.

A Miami police officer was pulled over by a fellow cop, who spotted him driving in Florida at 193km/h. Officer Fausto Lopez was arrested at gunpoint and charged with reckless driving by highway trooper DJ Watts.

In a video posted on YouTube you can see Watts demand that Lopez exit his Miami police vehicle, throughout the clip, he seems baffled by the arrest.

According to Watts, Lopez ignored repeated warnings from Watts to stop, even when she caught up to him and turned on her lights and siren. He claiimed he did not "see her" despite the flashing lights and sirens behind him.

Lopez admitted he was driving too fast because he was running late for a second job.

Sergeant Mark Wysocky, a Florida Highway Patrol spokesman, commented that Lopez has been criminally charged and that, based on his behaviour, Watts acted appropriately by drawing her sidearm.

Wysocky said: "She drew her gun for her own safety based on the actions of the driver."
